The Samsung tablet range

One of the best Android powered tablets that have hit the market is the samsung tablet range. They are increasingly good looking, ultra thin and have been designed to look distinctively different in a market that has become cluttered with similar looking and functioning devices. Samsung has been able to cut a niche with the very first 7 inch model that it launched which came with 1 GHz processor, Android 2.2, flash support, dual cameras, Wi-Fi and 32 GB storage. Enough to make the other tablets powered by Android feel ashamed.

Since then of course the samsung tablet has moved from the Gingerbread to Honeycomb and the latest launch the 10.1 is powered by the latest 3.1 version of the OS. It comes with a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor that gives crisper display and significantly faster animation. Samsung has retained the dual color scheme with the front coming in black bezel and the rear coated with a ghost white plastic material that is so unique to the samsung tablet range.

Although the Samsung is thinner than the market leader iPad 2, the tablet has its own distinctive features as an extremely light weight device to hold and use. The 10.1 comes with a 7000 mAh battery that allows you to watch up to 4 movies easily and play 3 days of continuous music! If you go a bit easy on the brightness though, the tablet will have enough juice to last 11 hours.

An amazing array of compatibility lets you play music over DivX, MPEG4 and H.264 files all plays absolutely without a fuss. The rear 3 MP camera is standard for the Samsung slates and it is nothing out of the ordinary. The Samsung Apps section is provided that allows you to download any apps that are available for these tablets. However there is one caveat. Only the 10.1 comes with 3G power and is provided with the access to the movies section of the Google Android market. So any one looking to treat itself with some movies better have the 3G version as the Wi-Fi version is going to disappoint you here.
